My work explores the unseen repetition in moments of surrender. Through my poetry and installations I try to bring to life typically intimate and masked situations that many seem to go through but rarely talk about. I continually focus on my own personal experience and how I, like others, hide or forgive particular experiences. In my installation work I try to show how often this occurs by repeating a certain object. In my written work I do the same by repeating a certain theme or specific words. Most importantly, I am interested in presenting my audience with the emotional repercussions from the moments that he or she may not want to speak about.
